Back in the day I played Oblivion to death, and then moved on to other games (New Vegas and Skyrim, primarily), but I still return to Cyrodiil from time to time. This is one of those times. Now one of my must-haves for Oblivion is a decent face replacer. I just can't get on with the default look. So I've experimented with a few face packs and overhauls over the years. Particularly, I like the women of Cyrodiil to look pretty.

Best

The guys, I'm not so bothered about.Anyway, there's three main ones that I know of:Colorwheel's Overhaul: All right, this replaces more than just faces, and yes, I like the fact that it gives all the women in Cyrodiil short skirts and long legs. But it also cleans up the female faces a lot bringing them into line with about the best you could do using vanilla faces. That was good enough for years, but maybe more modern games have spoiled me a bit because the last time I played I started noticing the creases and crinkles when people talked to me. Consequently I've been looking for an upgrade.Modular Beautiful People: I had this loaded for certain mods on LoversLab that had it as a hard requirement.

Some of the faces are nice, but the I'm not a fan of the anime look, nor of having fifteen identical-but-for-the-tattoo races of elves that I have to scroll past to find the race I want. I know the mod title says 'modular', but I've never found it other than in an all-in-one install - there's much I'd leave out if I could.Oblivion Character Overhaul V2: This is what I'm using at the moment. Better than Vanilla, no wrinkles like Colourwheel and not as 'waifu' as MBP. But (and this is a tiny thing really) the little pointy chins on all the females is starting to drive me nuts. So I'm tentatively looking for a new face overhaul. So: that's me. What are your preferences for face mods? And any recommendations for a good replacer?.

I just can't get into OCO.Overall, I've never had a real problem with the vanilla faces. Yeah, some of the NPCs are ugly and most of them are at least not notably attractive, but that's the way it is in the real world too, so that's what I'd expect anyway. With OCO though, everybody's beautiful, and beautiful in the same way - it's just a sea of high cheekbones and sharp jawlines and perfectly cleft chins, and it's just not at all realistic. There were a few specific things I didn't like about the vanilla faces though - most notably the blotchiness of the textures and the odd colors on some of the races (especially Redguards and Altmer). It took a fair bit of experimenting and tweaking to get the setup I wanted, and unfortunately, I'm not at my gaming rig so I can't say exactly what I did. Broadly though:I use for the age textures - the extra overlays for wrinkles and such that are added when you move the age slider. For the base textures, I use a selection of the textures from.

Between the two, there are a bunch of alternatives, and I just went through the races one at a time and tried things out until I found the ones I liked the best.As I recall, I don't use Enayla's Orc textures, but I don't recall where I got the ones that I do use. They could be Natural Faces or IFT or Robert's or.? I'll try to remember to check when I get a chance and post another reply. Overall, I've never had a real problem with the vanilla faces. I like my eye candy:)With OCO though, everybody's beautiful, and beautiful in the same way - it's just a sea of high cheekbones and sharp jawlines and perfectly cleft chins, and it's just not at all realistic.Yeah, exactly. It's the same face all over. That little pointy chin of the women would be cute in one or two, but I see if on everyone I talk to.
