But when I open up the game while Loader is installed, it just opens the window then automatically closes a second later. Any fixes to that?
I'm new to modding, and I don't mean to bother you if that's your ideal.EDIT.: I figured it out. It's because the mods I have, which are character mods, only work on the previous version without the Mania Plus menu hub. And I actually have the Encore DLC installed. I'll just have to wait for new character mods to be available and compatible with the Encore DLC.
10 months agoto be safe, the easiest course of action would be to download a new copy of mania (rename the old mania folder to something else and just 'verify the cache'. The save is on the cloud so you won't lose progress), and install the new loader in that new copy of mania. Then just move the mods from the old mania mods folder to the new one.
Once you have moved the mods, you can delete the old mania folder (or do with it as you see fit)Most mods should still work when put on Plus, but it all comes down to what was edited.It has worked for me so far so hopefully it will for you as well.

Do not make simple file swaps.
How To Install Sonic Mania Mods In A Crack Version
This includes swapping around files already present within Mania's files. No character recolor mods. Exceptions can be made if the mod changes a significant amount of other things outside character sprites. Only include files relevant to your mod. The game is able to fill in the missing files even if they are not a part of your mod.
Please try to ask for permission first before using another modders content in your own mod. It's the right thing to do. No backporting of Plus DLC features. Mods can be posted here that are compatible with Plus, but do not make your mod about accessing these features.
