Keyiso Cng Key Isolation Win 10
When using MSMQ over HTTPS, secured by client certificates, MSMQ appears to have dependency on the CNG Key Isolation Service - but not configured as a dependency by default. To implement SRMP, I have set up MSMQ/IIS with a Private Key so it can deliver and receive messages over HTTPS using Client certificates for Authentication.By default, whenever MSMQ starts there is a 16 minute delay on the server responding to Remote desktop logins and other network services until the Service manager has timed out the MSMQ Service start and restarted it. Immediately after MSMQ iskilled, the CNG Key Isolation service startsAdding a dependency to the MSMQ service on the 'CNG Key Isolation' (KeyIso) service in the registry removes this delay and brings the server 'back to normal' in terms of start up times.I assume this is due to the MSMQ service needing access to the protected storage for the private key, which by default hasn't started before MSMQ requires it. This meant the service start process is blocked until MSMQ was killed and restarted by ServerManager. Can anyone confirm that this is the real reason and an appropriate resolution?cheers,S.C.
