Fallout 4 Crash In Specific Area
This very frustrating glitch is already recognised on fora but has not yet been dealt with by the devs. Once the save files get larger on progressing through the game, the problem arises making me feel it is a memory issue. If I don't save before moving areas or fast travel I risk losing my gameplay as the game freezes on the loading screen. The game then has to be closed using task manager and then reloaded again. It is a real pain and unacceptable.I keep my saves to a minimum which helps reduce the frequency.
I restarted the game from scratch having already reached level 60 and removed my mods to try and resolve this. I have not found any other solutions and suspect it is up to the devs to sort. It does not seem to affect everyone so they may well leave it:(I would be interested in hearing from others with this problem and whether they have found a solution. I also feel it needs to be kept high profile to remind devs of this. I am not using mods but have used console. My specs are as followsIntel Core i7 CPU @2.8GHzAsus P6X58DE Motherboard6GB RamSamsung 1TB SATA Hard drive (HD 103SJ)2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 Display adaptersI have spent some time searching internet before coming to forum and consistently I get that this is a bethesda engine problem. I must admit, i am so fed up with it I am thinking of changing to XBox platform but i much prefer PC gaming.

The trouble is that I love bethesda games but hate their glitches. It is interesting that while now trying to clear my workshop I keep being kicked out so you may be on to something there. I will perservere with the clear out and see what happens. I will perservere with the clear out and see what happensYour rig used to be nice. It's about the same specs as the first gaming rig I ever built, back in 2008, before Windows 7 even launched. Except I had a DX58SO motherboard. I have fond memories of that platform, and still have my rig around, although every single component on it has been replaced since. The problem here is that your ancient computer isn't up to snuff, but thankfully it's a very powerful platform if you upgrade it correctly.1. It's painfully obvious you're using an i7-930 - get rid of it and buy yourself a Xeon or i7 Extreme 6-core chip, they can be had for around $100 from eBay these days (eg. The Gulftown processors perform to a far higher standard than the older Bloomfield parts, particularly the low end 920 and 930 that had a 4.8 GT/s QPI link.2.
6 GB of RAM is not enough. This is the reason your computer is crashing when you fast travel - the RAM load will surge during loading screens to cache data required to display the game. Thankfully, this platform does just fine with very cheap DDR3-1333, of which even if you went all out and bought 6 8 GB sticks for 48 GB of RAM it would still be affordable - I ran 24 GB myself.3.
Your video cards are laughably weak. They're just so old, it's not even funny anymore. You're 6 generations overdue an upgrade, dump them both for anything, even a 1050 Ti is 10x faster than the GTX 460, not to mention it doesn't consume even half the power4.

Do yourself a real favor and buy yourself an SSD. I happened to have this exact same hard drive (Samsung HD103SJ), and it's a really, really slow one.
Since the X58 chipset is SATA II, you don't need a state of the art SSD, even a lowly SanDisk Plus is enough, and they're like ultra cheap ($40 for the 120 GB model)All in all, if you play your cards right, you can have a very powerful computer for very little money with that LGA1366 base. But for now, your rig simply doesn't have the power to run this thing at anything other than low settings and making extensive use of page file. Here's what my specs ultimately ended up by the time I retired it, except that the validation was taken with many parts I use on my main computer (which is now 4 years old and about to be retired for a new one). When I bought it, the computer it was top spec and I have not been watching new advances since. When I first started gaming I built my own spec but this rig, from Scan Computers was almost as cheap to buy already installed. I have forgotten how old it is and I reckon you are spot on. I wrote my spec with pride lol.
